Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist at Rappahannock General Hospital for PRN daytime shifts to deliver high‑quality breast imaging in line with ARRT, ACR, and MQSA guidelines.

You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography, DEXA, and assist radiologists with procedures, while maintaining patient safety and documentation for licensed providers. EPIC/EHR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography preferred or must obtain within 1 year
• State licensure preferred unless required by state of work
• BLS Basic Life Support required at hire for certain locations

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures
• Conveys patient history to licensed provider prior to examination
• Selects and operates breast imaging equipment to achieve quality results
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions
• Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans
