Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT Diagnostic Radiology certification/registration required
• Advanced mammography registration preferred or obtain within 1 year
• State licensure preferred where required
• BLS from AHA required at hire or prior to independent patient care

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and consent.
• Correlates clinical history with procedures for licensed provider use.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and exposure factors.
• Minimizes radiation exposure per safety principles.
• Ensures patient safety during procedures.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
