Landmark Hotel Group is hiring an AM Line Cook for the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront in Suffolk, Virginia. This role supports our kitchen operations, starting with opening duties, prep work, and ensuring items are prepared to spec for daily menus.

Qualified candidates have at least one year of line cook experience in a hotel or full‑service setting and can obtain a Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a line cook in a hotel or full-service restaurant.
• Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up work station with required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards.
• Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Check production schedule and pars.
• Establish priority items for the day.
• Inform the Chef/Kitchen Manager of supplies to requisition for the day.
• Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas.
• Start prep work for the day’s menu items.
• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides.
• Inform the Chef/Kitchen Manager of any shortages before items run out.
• Inform F&B service staff of 86’d items and available menu specials during service.

Landmark Hotel Group is seeking an AM Line Cook for the Hilton Garden Inn located at 100 E. Constance Road, Suffolk, Virginia 23434.

Core Responsibilities

• Complete opening duties:
  • Set up work station with required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Check production schedule and pars.
  • Establish priority items for the day.
  • Inform the Chef/Kitchen Mgr. of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks.
  • Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas.
• Start prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day.
• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides according to department standards.
• Inform the Chef/ Kitchen Mgr. of any shortages before the item runs out.
• Inform F&B service staff of 86'd items and the amount of available menu specials throughout the meal period.

Qualifications

• One Year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant
• ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire
• Commensurate or transfer skill set is of primary importance
• Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required
