Landmark Hotel Group is hiring a Lead Line Cook for Comfort Inn On The Ocean in Kill Devil Hills, NC. The role involves station setup, food prep per recipes, and communicating shortages to kitchen leadership.

• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides.
• Inform the Chef/Kitchen Manager of shortages before the item runs out.
• Inform F&B service staff of 86'd items and available specials.
• Return unused and clean utensils/equipment to designated locations.

Core Responsibilities:

• Breakdown work station and complete closing duties according to department standards:
  
  
  • Return all food items to the proper storage areas.
  
  
  • Rotate all returned products.
  
  
  • Wrap, cover, label, and date all items being put away.
  
  
  • Straighten up and organize all storage areas.
  
  
  • Clean up and wipe down food prep areas, reach-ins/walk-ins, and shelves.
  
  
  • Return all unused and clean utensils/equipment to the specified locations.
  
  
  • Ice down hot items from the steam table so they cool quickly.
  
  
  • Turn off all equipment not needed for the next shift.
  
  
  • Restock items that were depleted during the shift.
  
  


• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides according to department standards.


• Inform the Chef/ Kitchen Mgr. of any shortages before the item runs out.


• Inform F&B service staff of 86'd items and the amount of available menu specials throughout the meal period.

Qualifications:

• One Year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant


• Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire


• Commensurate or transfer skill set is of primary importance


• Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.


• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required
