Landmark Hotel Group in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Prep Cook to support our Hilton Garden Inn operations. The role involves setting up stations, following recipes, and assisting the kitchen team to deliver high-quality guest meals.

This position offers both full-time and part-time schedules, requires at least one year as a line cook in a hotel or restaurant, and provides wellness benefits and opportunities for growth within the Landmark family.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant.
• Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire.
• Commensurate or transfer skill set is of primary importance.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards.
• Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Check production schedule and pars.
• Establish priority items for the day.
• Inform the Chef/Kitchen Mgr. of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks.
• Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas.
• Start prep work on items needed for the particular banquet event orders.
• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides according to department standards.
• Inform the Chef/ Kitchen Mgr. of any shortages before the item runs out.
