Job summary

Landmark Hotel Group is seeking a Dishwasher for the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront in Suffolk, VA. This on-site, full-time or part-time position involves cleaning and maintaining the dish area, washing dishes, and keeping back-of-house spaces tidy.

You must be able to lift a 20 lb tray and operate a commercial vacuum, with availability on weekends/holidays as needed. The role offers wellness benefits and opportunities within the Landmark family.

Qualifications

• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
• Must be able to lift a 20lb tray of dishes and a commercial mop bucket.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop walk-in, dry storage, back dock area; keep area neat and clean.
• Empty trash and report full dumpsters; clean dumpster area as needed.
• Clean dish machine strainer and wipe down all dish areas; polish metal surfaces.
• Ensure glasses and cups are correctly racked and silverware procedures followed.

Core Responsibilities:

• Sweep and mop walk-in, dry storage, back dock area making sure area is neat and clean.
• Empty trash and take all trash to dumpster, reporting back if dumpster is full; clean dumpster area when needed.
• Clean strainer under the dish machine. Wipe down all dish areas, then use stainless steal polish on all metal surfaces, including glass rack area, sinks, and all machine areas.
• Make sure glasses and cups are in the correct racks. Make sure to use the proper procedure to do silverware.

Qualifications:

• Commensurate or transfer skill set is primary importance
• Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required
• Must be able to lift a 20lb. tray of dishes.
• Must be able to lift and dump our commercial-sized mop bucket.
• Must be able to operate a commercial vacuum.
