Job summary

Landmark Hotel Group is seeking an AM Line Cook for the Hilton Garden Inn in Suffolk, Virginia. The role involves basic station setup, recipe execution, and adherence to standards while supporting kitchen operations.

You will work with the kitchen team, ensuring timely prep, item readiness, and communication with chefs about shortages or specials. On-site position with wellness benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• One Year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant.
• Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire.
• Commensurate or transfer skill set is of primary importance.
• Good attitude and work ethic to attain maximum operating efficiency with guest satisfaction.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstation with required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards.
• Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Check production schedule and pars.
• Establish priority items for the day.
• Inform the Chef/Kitchen Manager of supplies to requisition for the day’s tasks.
• Transport supplies from storeroom and stock in designated areas.
• Start prep work on items needed for the day’s menu.
• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides accordingly.
• Inform Chef/Kitchen Manager of shortages before items run out.
• Inform F&B service staff of 86'd items and available specials during the meal period.

Core Responsibilities:

• Set up work station with required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards.


• Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies.


• Check production schedule and pars.


• Establish priority items for the day.


• Inform the Chef/Kitchen Mgr. of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks.
