Job summary

Daly Seven is seeking a Guest Service Agent who welcomes guests with warmth and efficiency, and acts as a local expert on attractions, restaurants, and events. You will resolve issues professionally, promote the franchise membership club, and assist guests with referrals when needed.

You will maintain cash accuracy, manage reservations, operate the switchboard, and ensure the lobby, breakfast service, and security procedures are handled with care.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel brand experience and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, stoop, and regularly go up and down stairs.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth, check them in and out with speed and accuracy.
• Be the go-to expert for local attractions, restaurants, and events with maps/publications for directions.
• Handle guest complaints with professional care and concern.
• Promote the franchise membership club and help guests secure future stays at Daly Seven properties.
• Assist guests with lodging referrals when the hotel is full.
• Maintain accuracy in cash handling, cash drawer, and daily shift reports.
• Take and record reservations, verify credit card validity, and monitor reservation status.
• Operate the switchboard and master computer operations including shutdown procedures.
• Keep lobby and office clean and set up continental breakfast and coffee service.
• Report hazards and investigate injuries in the absence of a manager as part of security.
• Know emergency procedures, fire system and location of emergency lights and utility cut-offs.
• Complete Incident Reports for guests or Accident Reports for employees when necessary.
