Job summary

First Interstate is seeking a Community Market Specialist to partner with branch and market leaders, supporting onboarding, training reinforcement, and performance improvement across multiple NE branches. You will help identify trends, improve processes, and reduce operational risk while aligning with enterprise initiatives.

The role covers coaching during onboarding, branch visits, and collaboration with leadership to meet client experience and growth objectives in a regulated banking

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 4–6 years banking or related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Responsibilities

• Leads onboarding, role transitions, and early development support for new and promoted employees across markets.
• Partners with leaders to assess talent readiness and support market goals related to client experience, growth, and operational excellence.
• Conducts branch visits to evaluate execution, provide coaching, and reinforce service quality and controls.
• Provides coaching through observation, reviews, and documentation checks to improve accuracy and reduce risk.
• Facilitates connections with branch leadership to align on initiatives and policy changes.
• Monitors performance indicators and works with leaders to address emerging risks with action plans.
• Maintains onboarding updates, visit summaries, coaching observations, and evaluation forms for visibility and trend analysis.
• Supports enterprise initiatives by providing feedback and validation of resolutions.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve tools and resources and enhance processes.
• Participates in talent selection and development for branch roles, providing leadership capacity as needed.
• Represents the bank in community involvement and financial education initiatives.
• Completes work in compliance with regulatory requirements and ongoing training.
