Job summary

Renasant Bank in Saraland, Alabama is seeking a Head Teller to lead a best-in-class branch experience by coaching and managing in five areas: customer engagement, service execution, operational excellence, leadership and management.

The Head Teller will role model service standards, refer sales opportunities, oversee teller responsibilities, and support the Branch Manager in driving team performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of cash handling experience, one of which must be successful teller experience.
• Minimum of 1 year leadership experience.
• Minimum of 1 year customer experience in a sales environment preferred.
• Proven track record of leadership, sales management, and coaching.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail with strong transaction accuracy.
• Ability to travel for training between branches.

Responsibilities

• Execute and coach the teller customer engagement process to ensure no breaks in service or sales opportunities.
• Maintain service knowledge standards and adhere to regulations, policies and procedures.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payoffs, and other transactions as needed.
• Balance daily operations, ATM and vault, and branch capture procedures.
• Mentor and onboard new Tellers and oversee interviewing and training of teammates.
• Supervise tellers and approve overrides; oversee daily personnel and drawer balancing.
• Lead meetings on sales, service and operations; participate in security meetings.
• Contribute to performance assessments and coaching for improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
