Job summary

Renasant Bank seeks an experienced Head Teller to lead a branch team, ensuring superior customer engagement, accurate service execution, and sound operational practices. The role involves coaching teller staff, overseeing daily transactions, and identifying sales opportunities while maintaining compliance.

The Head Teller will partner with Branch Manager to mentor new tellers, supervise staff, and participate in interviews and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cash handling experience, including teller duties
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience
• Minimum 1 year customer experience in a sales environment preferred
• Proven track record of leadership, sales management, and coaching
• Ability to produce individual and team sales and customer experience results
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong teamwork and adaptability to changing business pace

Responsibilities

• Execute and coach the teller customer engagement process to ensure seamless service and sales opportunities
• Maintain service knowledge standards in line with regulations and policies
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payoffs)
• Balance cash, manage ATM/vault, and oversee branch operations
• Identify customer needs and refer to appropriate platforms for solutions
• Ensure compliance and mitigate risk through procedures
• Mentor and onboard new tellers and participate in hiring/training
• Supervise tellers and approve overrides on transactions; oversee daily staff
• Lead meetings with branch leadership and participate in security briefings
• Support performance appraisals and disciplinary actions as needed
• Other duties as assigned
