Job summary

Renasant Bank is seeking a Head Teller to drive a best-in-class branch experience by leading, coaching, and managing teller teams across five core areas: customer engagement, service execution, operational excellence, leadership, and management.

The role emphasizes role modeling, training, and recognizing sales opportunities while ensuring compliance. The Head Teller will oversee Teller duties and support branch leadership in daily operations, training, and performance discussions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of cash handling experience, including teller experience.
• Minimum of 1 year leadership experience.
• Minimum of 1 year customer experience in a sales environment preferred.
• Proven leadership, sales coaching, and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and onboard new tellers and supervise daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Coach and drive the teller engagement process to ensure no service or sales gaps.
• Maintain service knowledge standards in line with regulations, policies and procedures.
• Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payoffs and official checks.
• Balance daily operations, order supplies, balance ATM and vault, and perform branch capture procedures.
• Identify customer needs during transactions and refer to the appropriate platform for solutions.
• Follow compliance, risk and operational procedures to protect the bank.
• Assist with monthly/quarterly branch assessments and training of teammates.
• Mentor and onboard all new Tellers and participate in interviewing and training of staff.
• Supervise tellers and provide override approvals; oversee daily personnel and drawer balancing.
