Job summary

Renasant Bank is seeking a Senior Teller to provide accurate transactions, friendly service, and help identify sales opportunities while ensuring policy compliance. This role serves as a front-line contact in the branch and supports the Head Teller.

The Senior Teller will lead by example, handle daily operations, balancing, ATM/vault checks, and coaching junior tellers as needed, with emphasis on risk mitigation and exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year teller experience and/or previous cash handling experience preferred.
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• 10-Key skills and basic math aptitude required.
• Knowledge of bank products and solutions helpful.
• Ability to travel for training and between branches as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions effectively and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payoffs and draws, official checks, etc.
• Recognize/identify customer needs and refer customers to the appropriate platform for needs-based conversations.
• Execute the Renasant Bank service standards in all customer and teammate interactions.
• Understand and address customer issues or refer to a branch teammate who can help.
• Maintain service knowledge with related regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Balance daily operations including balancing, supplies ordering, ATM and vault balancing, and branch capture procedures.
• Protect the bank from unnecessary risk by following compliance, risk, and operational procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on all Teller and branch operation regulations and policies.
• Assist Head Teller with additional procedures and quarterly branch assessments.
• May assist with coaching and mentoring and serve as a role model in operations.
