Job summary

Renasant Bank in Mobile, AL seeks a Head Teller to drive a best-in-class branch experience by leading and coaching a teller team. You will oversee customer engagement, service execution, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance and risk controls.

As a Head Teller, you’ll mentor tellers, support branch leadership, participate in hiring and training, and help grow sales opportunities across the branch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years cash handling experience, teller experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year leadership experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work within a team and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel between branches for training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead teller team to deliver exceptional customer engagement and sales opportunities.
• Model service knowledge and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payoffs, and official checks accurately.
• Manage daily branch operations: balancing, supplies, ATM/vault balancing, and branch capture.
• Identify customer needs and refer to appropriate platforms for solutions.
• Enforce risk controls by following bank compliance and procedures.
• Mentor onboarding for new tellers and support training activities.
• Support branch leadership in meetings, performance reviews, and staff development.
