Job summary

University Bank in Ann Arbor, MI seeks a Customer Service Supervisor to lead a branch team, drive an exceptional customer experience, and oversee daily operations, security, and staff performance.

In partnership with the AVP, Branch Manager, you will coach staff, promote a proactive sales culture, deepen customer relationships, and ensure compliance while achieving deposit, loan, and referral goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years previous community banking experience required.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Must be a licensed notary public or willing to obtain certification.
• Previous supervisory experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop branch staff, including scheduling, onboarding, training, performance feedback, disciplinary action, and performance reviews.
• Establish branch sales and service priorities, goals, and action plans; monitor performance and provide coaching.
• Create a proactive, needs-based sales culture with effective customer conversations and follow-up.
• Generate new customer relationships through lobby engagement, outbound calling, appointment setting, and referrals.
• Complete banking sales for deposits and loans within assigned authority and refer customers to partners as appropriate.
• Maintain and review sales pipelines, referral activity, and results with Branch Manager.
• Ensure staff explain products, services, and fees while complying with policies and regulatory requirements.
