Job summary

Bank of Ann Arbor is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Administration Manager in daily operations, employee performance, client service, relationship development, and compliance responsibilities. The role provides coaching and supervision, resolves client issues, and helps maintain internal controls and audit readiness.

The position requires strong leadership, relationship-building, and knowledge of banking regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible retail banking or related client-service and operations experience.
• Experience leading, coaching, or supervising employees.
• Working knowledge of branch operations and banking regulations.
• Ability to work the branch schedule including weekends or extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch leadership and staff development, including scheduling and service coverage.
• Coach staff on client service, risk controls, and performance expectations.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with policies, controls, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain branch operations, controls, and community engagement activities.

Education

Bachelor’s degree

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business/finance/management
