Job summary

First National Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Montrose, PA. You will support the branch and sales team, promote referrals, and ensure customer requests are handled professionally. The role emphasizes coaching staff, managing daily operations, and maintaining data quality for customers and referrals.

You will also assist with teller duties, adhere to bank policies, and contribute to risk management and compliance programs as part of the Retail unit.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• 2 years of related branch experience is expected.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of banking policies, consumer products and services.
• Sales and cross-selling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work with PC software and basic office tools.
• Familiarity with mortgage licensing system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the sales process through referral management and cross-selling of bank products.
• Input and maintain accurate data for referrals, customers, and applicants.
• Coach branch staff and monitor sales results and activity.
• Coordinate daily operations: scheduling, opening/closing, supplies, vault cash.
• Perform traditional teller transactions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies and risk management expectations.
• Support regulatory compliance and company procedures.
