Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies’ Modesto branch is seeking a Branch Sales Manager to lead a local team and drive value with B2B customers across diverse industries. The role combines field selling with P&L responsibility at a Fortune 1000 distributor.

You will coach, hire, and develop sales professionals, manage territory strategies, and pursue new opportunities while building lasting customer relationships in a dynamic, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year sales management & leadership experience.
• 2+ yrs B2B outside sales with a tangible product.
• Industrial distribution experience a plus.
• Operations and/or P&L experience a plus.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills.
• Written & verbal communication including English grammar.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team in building value and ongoing relationships with new and existing industrial B2B customers.
• Much of your time will be in the field, calling on and developing customers.
• Develop, manage & implement service center sales activities & territory management, sales performance goals, margins.
• Identify & evaluate new customers, market conditions, opportunities, competitive pressures.
• Recommend & implement actions to maximize sales, increase margins, expand market share.
• Personal assigned accounts as required.
