Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Branch Sales Manager for Modesto, CA. The role focuses on leading a local team, building relationships with diverse industrial customers, and driving sales in a field-based environment.

You will manage sales activities, develop personnel, and ensure achievement of revenue and margin goals while representing a global industrial distributor. This position emphasizes a strong customer base and field presence within a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year sales management and leadership experience.
• 2+ years of B2B outside sales experience with a tangible product.
• Industrial distribution experience is a plus.
• Operations and/or P&A experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Written and verbal communication including English grammar.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

In accordance with applicable wage transparency law requirements, the typical estimated total compensation for this position is $125,000 - $200,000 per year depending on experience. This includes salary ($65,000 - $84,000) and quarterly bonus opportunities. The bonus opportunities for this position are tied to location and/or individual performance, but no specific amount is guaranteed.

What you'll do:

As Branch Sales Manager, you will have P&A responsibility. Lead your team in building value and ongoing relationships with new and existing industrial B2B customers. Much of your time will be in the field, calling on and developing customers. Our customer base is as diverse as our product line and includes mining, food production, energy, power plants, construction, aggregate, government agencies, and more.

Develop your team to meet / exceed sales and profit goals by developing a productive, healthy environment where people want to succeed and grow personally and as a team.
