Job summary

Grainger in Houston is seeking a Branch Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will manage product selection, order entry, safe picking, and loading customer vehicles, while continually supporting merchandising and stock efficiency.

You will adapt your communication style for various audiences, handle will-call orders, and participate in inventories.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted; heavier loads with help.
• Willingness to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire customer experience: product selection, accurate order entry, safe picking, and loading customer vehicles.
• Maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style for email, phone, or in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare backorders and put away stock received; assist merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts and keep workspace orderly.
• Learn and navigate multiple computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse tasks.
• Maintain Grainger standards for branch appearance and safety compliance.
