Job summary

RB Global Inc. is seeking a Branch Operations Assistant in New Orleans, LA. You will address customer and branch inquiries under supervision, handle clerical duties, and assist with yard functions including loader operation to ensure accurate records on incoming vehicles and maintain them through the sale process.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Prior forklift experience and basic vehicle knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Leadership and time-management skills are essential.
• Independent work ability required in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are necessary.
• Willingness to learn forklift operation within 90 days.
• Knowledge of vehicles and basic automotive repair is preferred.
• Experience in equipment rental or construction is a plus.
• Experience with forklift operation is preferred.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills with Excel/PowerPoint proficiency.
• Awareness of safety hazards around heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support via mail, phone, and in person.
• Process orders and enter data into the system.
• Reference pricing and delivery information.
• Respond to customer questions, complaints, and requests.
• Handle word processing, filing, and clerical duties.
• Process all paperwork for auction day with supervisor approvals.
• Follow established procedures under supervision.
• Open to learning automobile titling.
• Assist with other office functions as needed.
• Record and file vehicle information during check-in.
• Detail vehicles to enhance auction appearance and value.
• Safely move vehicles around the facility.
• Assist visitors and direct to appropriate staff.
• Operate loader as needed within yard functions.
• Report policy violations to supervisor/manager.
• Serve as subject matter expert for Yard Attendants, Loader Operators, and Customer Service Representatives.
• Other duties as assigned by business needs.
