Job summary

Apple Bank Bronx, NY seeks an experienced operations leader to support branch management and oversee staff performance. You will ensure adherence to policies, coach staff on sales, and drive customer service excellence while monitoring risk and compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising branch operations, audits, training, and reports; helping hire, schedule, and evaluate staff; and promoting bank products to meet sales goals. A notary license in NY is required; travel may be occasional.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 3-5 years of assistant branch management or banking experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of formal education.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities; knowledge of banking regulations and products.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Manager and oversee branch operations in line with policies and controls.
• Coach staff on sales techniques and product knowledge to drive deposits and loans.
• Supervise staff on service standards, conduct appraisals, and counsel employees.
• Identify operational risks and ensure compliance procedures are followed.
• Oversee audits, reporting, records management, and opening/closing procedures.
• Cross-train on branch functions to cover peak periods and teller coverage.
• Meet sales goals by executing programs and referring non-deposit products as needed.
• Assist in staffing decisions and prepare regular branch performance reports.
• Notarize legal documents for bank customers; understand BSA, privacy, and fair lending rules.
