Job summary

Apple Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Bronx, NY. The role supports the Branch Manager in achieving sales, service, and operational goals, while ensuring compliance with policies and controls.

The ABM will lead staff, manage Teller-Unit operations, and drive deposits and customer growth. The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree with 3–5 years in assistant branch management or banking, strong customer service, and solid knowledge of banking regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and 3-5 years of assistant branch management or comparable banking experience.
• Minimum 3 years of operations experience, preferably in banking.
• Excellent customer service/sales skills and strong regulatory knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office and banking software; ability to adapt to regulations.
• Notary Public license for New York State is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee efficient branch operations following policies and controls.
• Coach staff on sales techniques and product knowledge to meet goals.
• Provide leadership in the Branch Manager's absence, including teller operations.
• Monitor compliance, risk, audits, and security procedures.
• Staff scheduling, performance reviews, and reporting duties.
• Assist in staffing decisions and support branch sales programs.
• Prepare reports and ensure audit grades of at least Satisfactory.
