Job summary

Apple Bank for Savings seeks an Assistant Branch Manager in New York, NY to support the Branch Manager in driving sales, service, and operations. The ABM leads staff, coaches on sales, and ensures adherence to policies while protecting the branch from losses.

Essential duties include supervising operations, conducting appraisals, and maintaining regulatory compliance with BSA, Privacy, and Fair Lending standards. Visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 3-5 years customer-facing retail or banking experience.
• Minimum 3 years of operations experience, preferably in banking.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills.
• Strong knowledge of branch operations and regulations.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and banking software.
• Notary Public licensing is required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Oversee branch operations and ensure staff follow policies and controls.
• Coach staff on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Supervise staff on service expectations and performance appraisals.
• Identify operational risks and improve controls to protect deposits.
• Ensure compliance functions, audits, and recordkeeping are solid.
• Cross-train on branch roles to cover peak periods.
• Maintain audit grade of at least Satisfactory.
