Southeast Equipment Company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager in Indianapolis, IN to lead day-to-day branch operations including parts, service, and facility management. The role emphasizes performance, people, and process improvement in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of leadership experience in operations, solid knowledge of parts/service workflows, and a proven ability to drive margins while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of leadership experience in operations, service, or parts management.
• Strong knowledge of service shop or parts department operations.
• Proven success leading teams and improving processes.
• Strong communicator who builds trust with staff and senior leadership.
• Financially savvy—comfortable reading income statements, managing budgets, and improving margins.
• Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Comfortable in a hands-on role that requires walking the shop floor and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full operations of one key branch, managing the parts department, service department, and facility operations.
• Manage and mentor technicians, parts personnel, and yard associates.
• Drive performance in parts and service to hit sales and profit goals.
• Oversee scheduling, machine readiness, work quality, and on-time completion.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through responsive communication and problem resolution.
• Maintain OSHA and EPA compliance; enforce safety and cleanliness standards (5S).
• Collaborate with sales, rental, and product support to align operations with customer needs.
• Ensure proper documentation, inventory control, and tool/equipment readiness.
• Hold team members accountable and lead regular performance reviews.
