Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Branch Operations Manager for Commercial Lines. This role leads IOA operations at the assigned California/Oklahoma branch locations, directing the operations team and ensuring efficient performance and customer service across the book of business.

You will implement strategic plans, manage budgets, and participate in producer/agency activities while personally serving as Account Manager for a defined client portfolio.

Qualifications

• Active P&C licensing is required for the role.
• 5+ years of industry experience with broad knowledge base.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• Strong account management skills with 50% book focus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Direct daily branch operations and team workflows.
• Execute annual strategic and tactical plans for the branch.
• Manage branch P&L and control costs to hit financial goals.
• Understand and manage the annual budget.
• Communicate leadership vision and mission for the branch.
• Build and manage a qualified operations team.
• Participate in recruitment and evaluate merger/acquisition opportunities.
• Oversee HR processes and policy compliance.
• Set and monitor productivity, quality, and service standards.
• Foster professional development and succession planning.
• Develop future branch operations leaders and promote IOA values.
• Monitor performance data and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain close collaboration with Regional Director of Operations and sales leadership.
• Spend up to 50% of time on assigned book of business.
• Drive process improvements and ensure policy enforcement.
