Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking a Branch Operations Manager - Commercial Lines to lead operations at the Santa Barbara/Orange County area; this role is hybrid with one day in office at one of IOA's California branches and involves overseeing operations, budgeting, staff development, and client service.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in insurance, 2+ years of management, holds active P&C licenses, and excels in account management, communication, and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in insurance with broad, in-depth industry knowledge.
• 2+ years of management experience leading an operations team.
• Active property & casualty licenses required.
• Strong account management skills; spend up to 50% of time on a book of business.
• Excellent communication, people management and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities and workflow of the branch team.
• Drive annual strategic and tactical plans.
• Manage branch P&L, costs, and financial goals.
• Understand and manage the annual budget.
• Communicate leadership vision for the branch.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop an operations team.
• Participate in mergers/acquisition opportunities and account management as needed.
• Ensure HR processes and policy compliance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with IOA leadership.
