Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking a Branch Operations Manager - Commercial Lines in California. This hybrid role requires 1 day in-office at select IOA locations and involves leading branch operations, managing P&L, budgets, and staff development while also serving as an Account Manager for a defined book of business.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of industry experience, 2+ years of management, active P&C licensing, and strong communication/negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience with deep, wide-ranging industry knowledge.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• All required active property & casualty licensing.
• Exceptional Account Management skills, spending 50% of time managing a book of business.
• Outstanding communication, people management, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities and workflow of the branch team.
• Drive annual strategic and tactical plans.
• Manage branch P&L, control costs, and achieve financial goals.
• Understand and manage the annual budget.
• Develop and communicate the branch vision and culture.
• Recruit, onboard, and evaluate merger/acquisition opportunities.
• Oversee HR processes and policy compliance.
• Provide account management for assigned book of business up to 50% time.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements.
