Job summary

Northwest Federal Credit Union in Manassas, VA is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to lead member services and branch operations. You will supervise and train staff, ensure quality control, and drive sales alongside service excellence to enhance member experiences.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 1–2 years leadership experience, and 2+ years in financial services with a client-service focus. Notary duties and community engagement are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a comparable financial institution or over three years of retail service and sales experience.
• Minimum 1 year leadership/coaching experience.
• Strong client service and relationship-building skills; proactive sales capability and meeting service/sales goals.

Responsibilities

• In the absence of the Branch Manager, supervise the entire branch.
• Lead and develop branch staff; participate in hiring and onboarding.
• Oversee daily branch operations: approve transactions, cash control, branch security and audits.
• Monitor teller, vault, and TCR/TCD discrepancies; report concerns to Manager.
• Maintain branch scorecard knowledge and assist in improvement plans.
• Attend community/SEG events and participate in networking activities.
• Perform Notary and Signature Guarantee duties.
• Ensure compliance with NWFCU policies and BSA regulations.
