Job summary

Orkin is seeking an Operations Manager / People Leader in Chesapeake, VA, to build and mentor a high-performing branch team, deliver world-class service, and drive revenue growth. You will travel 25% of the time and may relocate for career progression within the division.

You will manage P&L, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. A strong, service-oriented leader with 5–7 years in ops/sales is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Documented success driving revenue for a Home Services company.
• Ability to obtain pesticide license within 90 days (company paid).
• Ability to work in the field independently and manage route-based assignments.
• 5–7 years of multi-operational or sales management experience.
• 5–7 years of P&L responsibility and expense control.
• 5–7 years of customer relations experience.
• 5–7 years of P&L management and business processes.
• 5–7 years of operations or sales management experience.
• 5–7 years of proven profitable growth.
• 5–7 years mentoring, coaching, motivating and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead a branch location after 90 days of training.
• Travel 25% of the time for branch office visits.
• Relocate within division geography for higher roles.
• Inspire team to deliver top-notch service and continuous improvement.
• Drive revenue growth and hold teams accountable for results.
• Manage P&L and invest in growth with balanced expenses.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Ensure vehicle policy compliance.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, evaluate and coach staff.
• Drive sales initiatives and results.
• Identify cost savings and service improvements.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership and HR on hiring/promotions/terminations.
• Promote high morale and strong employee relations.
• Maintain knowledge of pest, termite, sales, and operational management.
