Job summary

Orkin is seeking an Operations Manager / People Leader in Virginia Beach to build a high-performing branch team and deliver world-class pest control services. You will lead revenue growth, manage a P&L, and develop talent while aligning with company standards and safety policies.

You’ll travel 25% for branch visits, relocate within the division as needed, and partner with senior leaders to drive promotions, mentorship, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent work experience.
• Documented success driving revenue for a Home Services company.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• 5-7 years: Multi-operational or sales management experience with a results-driven company.
• 5-7 years: P&L responsibility experience and an acute understanding of expense control strategies.
• 5-7 years: Demonstrated customer relations experience.
• 5-7 years: Experience with P&L management and business processes.
• 5-7 years: Operations or sales management experience with a results-driven company.
• 5-7 years: Proven ability to achieve profitable growth.
• 5-7 years: Mentoring, coaching, motivating and training

Responsibilities

• Lead a branch location after completing 90 days of training.
• Travel in the field for branch office visits 25% of the time.
• Relocate within division geography for higher roles.
• Inspire team to deliver top-notch service and commit to continual improvement.
• Drive revenue generation and growth, motivate the team and hold them accountable for results.
• Showcase superior operational skills with P&L management experience.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and company policies for vehicles.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, evaluate and coach.
• Drive sales initiatives and results.
• Identify best practices, cost savings and improved customer service initiatives.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership on hiring, promotions, succession planning, performance improvement and termination decisions.
• Promote positive employee relations and uphold operating standards.
• Maintain knowledge in pest, termite, sales, and Operational Management.
