Job summary

Bank of Hope is seeking an Operations Manager in Hawaii to oversee branch operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive customer-focused service. You will supervise staff, manage cash, and coordinate with the Branch Manager on staffing and performance, while fostering a compliant and efficient environment.

The role requires five years of banking experience and at least three years in supervision, with strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum five years of banking experience and three years in a supervisory position.
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with banking systems and basic computer applications.
• Korean language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational functions of the branch while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and support tellers and branch staff in day-to-day operations.
• Monitor branch workflows to identify process improvements and efficiencies.
• Manage cash handling including vault operations, ATM balancing, and cash levels.
• Conduct audits and ensure Records for compliance and risk management.
• Provide guidance and training to operations staff on policies and procedures.
• Mentor team members and develop staff in ops functions.
• Assist Branch Manager with staffing, scheduling, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
• Support sales initiatives in partnership with BM and PBO.
