Job summary

Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) seeks a Branch Manager II (Grade 19) for Field Operations in Prince George's County. The role requires directing branch operations, audits, compliance, and delivering premier customer service.

Ideal candidates will have at least three years of leadership experience (two in government) and a Bachelor's degree, with strong data analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive staffing and process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Three years of experience managing operations of a retail-banking branch or similar.
Three years of leadership experience; two years in state or federal government.
Ability to analyze data to inform decisions; strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Plan, lead, and oversee branch operations, audits, compliance, and premier customer service.
Plan, assign, schedule, and evaluate work of subordinate supervisors, driver license agents, customer agents, maintenance, and support staff.
Act as a change agent within the MVA.
Develop workflow efficiencies.
Work in a union environment.
