Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a Branch Leader to oversee daily branch operations, drive customer experience, and lead a high-performing team. You will manage lobby and teller activities, coach staff, and ensure compliance while meeting sales and service objectives.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in retail banking with supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of branch processes and banking products. Healthcare and 401(k) benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the branch operations, including lobby and teller activities, staffing, audits, and compliance.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate the work of a team.
• Optimize use of resources to meet branch needs.
• Demonstrate sales strategies to attract, expand, and retain customer relationships.
• Oversee customer experience and resolve complex problems to ensure service excellence.
• Manage branch safety, security, and compliance.
• Represent the bank in community and business development activities.
• Maintain knowledge of banking products and promotions.
• Lead or co-facilitate staff training and meetings.
• Provide backup support to other branches when needed.
• Authorize policy exceptions within limits and drive branch objectives.
