Job summary

The Community Banking Supervisor at Myprovident oversees daily operations of the retail banking center, ensuring superior customer service and efficient cash handling. You will coach staff, drive sales, and monitor compliance with banking regulations.

Responsibilities include staff training, branch control reviews, cross-selling, and collaborating with the Branch Service/Operations Manager to meet department goals. Occasional travel between branches may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years' experience in responsible banking position.
• Experience supervising others.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal banking regulations.
• Ability to work well with customers and staff, in person and by telephone.
• Selling and motivational skills are required.
• Effective communication in writing and speaking; bilingual ability would be helpful.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid California driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds sales and service goals and reports results to management.
• Ensure superior customer service in the Retail Banking Center.
• Maintain proficiency in all banking operations and inspire staff to meet sales goals.
• Verify information to establish new account relationships and maintain business account documentation.
• Promote bank services and cross-sell benefits to customers.
• Generate new business relationships through outside activities and events.
• Monitor documentation and agreements at account opening for compliance.
• Control cash and protect confidential financial information.
• Ensure the banking center is neat and safe, and support branch security procedures.
• Lead monthly staff meetings and coach staff in selling techniques.
• Support audits and branch reviews; travel between branches as needed.
• Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
