Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC, North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group, seeks a Branch Manager for its Dubuque, IA location. You will oversee day-to-day operations, plan and direct activities, manage department managers, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive growth across trucks, parts and service while maintaining customer relations.

This role emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, budgeting, and staff development in a large multi-state dealer network.

Responsibilities

• Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities of the branch.
• Establishes short and long-term operating and financial objectives for the branch.
• Forms annual and monthly business plans, sales/profit objectives and budgets.
• Develops merchandising strategies with department managers to ensure objectives are met; supervises sales of trucks, parts and service.
• Ensures branch compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Maintains communications within and between departments; conducts required conferences.
• Establishes customer relations and arbitrates between customers and managers when needed.
• Develops and trains department managers; reviews performance and recommends raises per policy.
• Promotes safe work habits and ensures safety rules are followed.
