Trustmark National Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker - Branch Manager I in Meridian, MS. The role oversees the branch, staff, and operations to maximize growth and profitability through sales, service, and lending activities.

The incumbent leads business development, conducts customer meetings, processes loan applications, and ensures compliance with banking regulations while mentoring team members and driving performance.

Qualifications

• Four-year college education or equivalent banking experience is required.
• Three years platform banking experience or five years progressive experience in banking areas such as credit or treasury management.
• Supervisory experience or Trustmark's Development Associate training.
• Ability to meet sales goals in a retail environment.
• Strong communication skills and time management are essential.
• Proven experience in managing a loan portfolio preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in leading branch sales and service efforts to grow deposits, loans, and fee income.
• Conduct sales calls and customer meetings to generate referrals and wallet share.
• Process loan applications, interview applicants, and clear exceptions and past dues; manage loan portfolio.
• Ensure branch compliance with regulations and policies; oversee marketing materials.
• Guide branch and personnel toward sales, service, and operational excellence while managing risks.
• Lead productive branch meetings focused on business development and market share.
• Mentor and train branch staff for day-to-day activities and growth.
• Handle scheduling, performance appraisals, cash management, ITM/ATM operations, night deposits, audits, and time reporting.
