Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Branch Manager in Greenbrier, AL to lead daily store operations, drive sales and margin goals, and ensure top-notch customer service. The role emphasizes safety, inventory control, and staff development within a dynamic retail/distribution environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong managerial experience, KPI proficiency, and leadership skills, with the ability to juggle priorities and lift up to 50–125 lbs with assistance. Base pay plus bonus opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Proven managerial experience with P&L management and KPI-driven performance.
• Valued experience in people leadership with coaching and team development.
• Experience in retail or industrial distribution environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with assistance.
• Proficient computer skills and willingness to learn new tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations to meet sales and margin goals.
• Provide professional customer service for internal and external customers and handle inquiries.
• Support the outside sales team and build client relationships.
• Process daily financial transactions, including cash reports and pricing.
• Maintain accuracy of back orders, open orders, and POs.
• Cultivate inventory levels for cylinders and hard goods.
• Lead training for inside sales on product knowledge and safety.
• Conduct performance reviews for branch staff.
• Act as a bridge between employees and management.
