Bank of Bird-in-Hand in Intercourse, PA is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our community branch, build relationships with customers, and drive deposit growth.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in banking or financial services with prior team leadership and operational oversight, and a Bachelor’s degree.

You will coach the team, manage schedules, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with commercial lenders to expand small business banking.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of banking, financial services, or sales experience in a management role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains responsibility for all aspects of the retail network, including growth, profitability, and customer service objectives.
• Performs performance reviews, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations as needed.
• Develops new sales opportunities by calling on current and potential customers and collaborating with partners to generate deposits and small business banking opportunities.
• Collaborates with departments to ensure operational soundness, safety, and open communication for quality service.
• Monitors branch reporting with the Head Teller and provides regular feedback and coaching to staff.

Job description

Bank of Bird-in-Hand is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to represent our Bank and lead our Intercourse branch. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of prior experience in banking, financial services and/or sales experience with prior team leadership and operational oversight experience.

In this role, you will actively build customer relationships and pursue opportunities for deposit growth and small business banking in our growing community bank. You will train, motivate and mentor the branch team to achieve customer service and operational goals, managing branch schedules and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains overall responsibility for all aspects of the financial institution’s retail network, including the implementation of strategies and establishment of goals to achieve growth, profit, operational efficiency and customer service objectives
• Exercises authority of a manager concerning performance improvement plans and reviews, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations
• Performs business development activities by making outside business calls to current and potential customers and utilizes business partners (Merchant Services, Commercial Lender, Business Development Officer) to generate new sales opportunities for the bank
• Collaborate with various departments within the organization to support operational soundness, safety, and open communication to help deliver quality service to internal and external clients
• Monitors all branch reporting alongside the Head Teller
• Provide regular feedback and performance coaching to support individual growth and accountability. Coaches, develops and inspires staff to maximize their potential with one on one meetings, and observations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of banking, financial services, and/or sales experience in a management role
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Valid drivers license

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of banking services including consumer, business lending and credit administration.
• Proven success in customer service and in the development of strong customer relationships.
