Job summary

VyStar Credit Union is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager in Savannah, GA. You will coach, develop, and lead branch employees to achieve growth goals while delivering exceptional member service and maintaining operational excellence.

You will work with the Branch Vice President to implement branch strategies, develop tactical plans, and align with VyStar objectives in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes leadership, community engagement, and strong risk management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.
• 3+ years in a customer service, sales, community service, military service, or leadership role is required.
• 2 years’ experience in a lead role within a financial institution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Branch VP to ensure day-to-day branch operations and profitability.
• Train and coach employees to uphold VyStar standards and the Great 8 Member Service commitments.
• Lead by example, develop staff for succession, and participate in recruitment and training.
• Manage performance reviews, set objectives, and drive branch growth and member service.
• Collaborate with HR and Training on curriculum and onboarding; conduct daily huddles and weekly sales meetings.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, audits, and risk management across the branch.
