Job summary

VyStar Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to coach and lead branch staff, deliver exceptional member service, and align branch strategies with VyStar objectives. This role partners with the Branch VP to implement plans, drive growth, and maintain operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes developing staff, coaching performance, and maintaining strong member and partner relationships while upholding compliance and risk guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in a customer service, sales, community service, military service, or leadership role.
• 2 years’ experience in a lead role within a financial institution preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to train and mentor others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and help members with financial needs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Branch VP to ensure daily branch operations and superior service experiences.
• Train, coach, and develop staff to meet VyStar standards of excellence and member service commitments.
• Lead performance objectives, conduct reviews, and support succession planning within the branch network.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and Training on recruitment and training curriculum.
• Assist in staffing decisions and conduct daily team huddles and weekly sales meetings.
