Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative – Branch Support to work closely with accounts, manage day-to-day sales and administrative tasks, and monitor inventory to meet contract and procurement needs.

The role requires strong writing, organization, and teamwork, with experience in customer service and familiarity with office software. The position is office-based and involves collaboration across departments to ensure on-time delivery and accurate order processing.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• Experience in metals is a plus but not required.
• Strong time management and organizational skills are essential.
• Excellent written communications and ability to interact with customers.
• Experience with service or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with accounts on day-to-day sales and administrative tasks.
• Monitor inventory and discuss upcoming requirements with accounts and programs.
• Assist with demand planning and issuing purchase orders.
• Coordinate with sales group on contractual business and inventory levels.
• Support branch inventory management and maintain open purchase orders.
• Develop knowledge of branch purchasing processes and supplier relationships.
• Monitor order status and communicate delays to customers to minimize impact.
• Proactively review stock and on-order positions to prevent excess inventory.
• Perform duties in line with Samuel’s Customer Bill of Rights.
• Review account profitability and seek efficiency improvements.
• Other related duties as assigned.
