Job summary

Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company is seeking a Branch Manager in Florida to lead staff, supervise branch operations, and drive revenue growth while promoting excellent customer service within the local community.

You will oversee hiring, performance management, and training, and coordinate with Mortgage and Wealth Management lines to maximize referrals and sales. Strong leadership and compliance knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or 3–5 years relevant branch operations and/or proven sales negotiation experience.
• Knowledge of Regulatory/Compliance laws, teller operations, consumer/commercial loans.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, problem solve, supervise a team.
• General knowledge of banking products and various computer software (i.e. MS Office).
• Excellent customer service, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximize branch revenues, deposits and loans and minimize operating losses.
• Develop business through staff coaching, loan generation, and referrals to other lines of business (Mortgage, Wealth Management).
• Maintain relationships with existing and potential clients by conducting calls.
• Deploy resources to optimize individual and team performance.
• Monitor employee activities to assist with problems, provide coaching, and take necessary actions to ensure work quality and customer service.
• Ensure branch compliance with bank policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
• Prioritize, manage, and communicate promotional campaigns and product initiatives.
• Represent bank in local community organizations.
• Perform general management duties, including hiring staff, conducting performance evaluations, and promotions or terminations as necessary.
• Develop programs and reward systems to increase morale and reduce turnover.
• Identify training needs and opportunities; develop and implement plan to meet needs.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
