Job summary

Bay State Bank is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a team in central Massachusetts. You will drive branch sales, manage daily operations, and coach staff to deliver exceptional service while ensuring compliance with banking laws and internal policies.

You will be responsible for achieving loan and deposit growth, cross-selling with partners, and maintaining a professional image for the branch. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required with minimum 3 years branch banking experience.
• Must be registered in good standing as an MLO with the NMLS.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence staff and customers.
• Proven ability to achieve loan/deposit growth and meet sales goals.
• Solid knowledge of bank services, policies, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, coach, train, and assess branch staff to meet goals.
• Ensure operational efficiency, service quality, and budget targets.
• Drive loan and deposit growth and cross-sell products with business partners.
• Maintain compliance with banking laws, rules, and internal policies.
• Hire and develop staff, conduct performance evaluations, and schedule coverage.
• Oversee daily branch operations including opening/closing and cash controls.
• Provide network-wide collaboration and maintain professional image.
