Job summary

Eastern Bank is seeking a branch leader in Massachusetts to manage a mid-sized banking office and drive sales objectives while delivering superior customer service. The role collaborates with HR, Wealth, Business Banking and other partners to ensure branch success.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of management experience in retail banking, strong communication, and a solid track record in sales and service. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with adaptability and community engagement valued.

• History of solid sales, service, and management successes.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall management of a mid-sized banking office and guide the sales activities of staff.
• Develop business relationships through personal visits and outbound teleservicing.
• Promote Eastern Bank through community involvement and local networks.
• Ensure compliant branch operations and policies and adhere to laws.
• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure branch success.
• Develop staff through coaching, lead by example, and conduct performance appraisals.
• Identify and resolve customer issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Balance policy with judgement and seek guidance as needed.
• Understand teller function and assist as needed.
