Job summary

America's First Federal Credit Union in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a member-focused associate to assist with financial transactions, open new accounts, and address inquiries with clear, courteous communication.

You will process loans and account activity, cross-sell products, provide notary services, and act as a liaison across departments, leveraging 2+ years in new accounts or consumer lending and a high school diploma or GED. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Experience - 2+ years of experience with new accounts and consumer lending
• Education - A high school education or GED.
• Interpersonal Skills - Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature.
• Other Skills - Must be able to maintain life insurance and NMLS registration; utilize electronic systems; strong public contact and communication skills.
• Must demonstrate good judgment to resolve member issues and understand all services offered by the credit union.

Responsibilities

• Assists members and non-members with financial transactions and loan inquiries.
• Post transactions and loan requests accurately and timely; maintain records.
• Promotes and cross-sells credit union products and services.
• Conducts audits of system information and member documents.
• Acts as liaison between members and departments.
• May represent the credit union in partner visits, enrollments, and civic events to develop business.
• May train other employees in daily responsibilities.
• Provides notary services and medallion stamps to members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
