Job summary

America's First Federal Credit Union in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Membership Development Specialist to build and grow relationships with business partners, promote credit union products, and deliver financial education workshops.

You will enroll members, cross-sell services, protect member data, and report results to the Membership Development Manager. A 1–3 year background in similar roles plus strong communication and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year to three years of similar or related experience.
• Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish).
• Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).

Responsibilities

• Build stronger relationships with current BPs through communication efforts, visits, enrollments financial education workshops, etc.
• Identify growth potential within existing and new BPs by evaluating membership penetration, developing a relationship with the main point of contact while identifying and evaluating additional needs.
• Attend chamber events, community, and trade show events to continue to initiate new BP relationships.
• Promote all products and services with cross-selling to meeting members' and BP's needs.
• Responsible for securing and safeguarding all membership information collected at BP enrollments.
• Report information to Membership Development Manager following BP visits and enrollments: results, feedback and needs.
• Keep accurate records of Benefit Partner information.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
