Job summary

Georgia's Own Credit Union in Georgia is seeking a Universal Banker Manager to lead UB I and UB II across an assigned branch cluster. You will coach staff, manage performance, and coordinate staffing to ensure a premier member experience across multiple locations.

The UBM travels between branches, partners with the Area Service Manager, and upholds branch operations, risk management, and employee development while maintaining personal production expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years in a retail banking or credit union environment.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or coaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop employees, manage performance, and coach sales/service behaviors.
• Strong knowledge of deposits, lending, branch operations, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Universal Banker I and II employees within an assigned branch cluster.
• Establish clear performance expectations and maintain coaching and development discussions.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development planning sessions.
• Partner with Area Service Manager for high-potential staff and succession planning.
• Support onboarding, training, and integration of new hires.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure understanding of priorities, expectations, and performance standards.
• Coordinate staffing across branches and approve attendance and time-off requests.
• Travel regularly among branches to provide leadership support.
• Open accounts, support lending conversations, generate referrals, and build relationships.
