Job summary

City of Norfolk’s SevenVenues division seeks a Box Office Supervisor to support the Box Office Manager in overseeing ticketing operations forScope Arena, Chrysler Hall, Attucks Theatre, and related venues. This role handles event setup, staff supervision, balancing receipts, and reporting, ensuring accurate ticketing and customer service excellence.

The position requires 5+ years in box office roles, 2+ years in supervisory roles, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate's degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of box office experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management position within a box office setting.
• Proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and maintain events in TM1 and Archtics ticketing systems.
• Coordinate events across multiple venues and Open Air events.
• Balance, deposit, and report daily ticket office receipts and generate sales reports.
• Assist with group sales initiatives and large ticket orders.
• Supervise ticket sellers and ticket seller supervisors; conduct scheduling and training.
• Liaise between departments, contractors, and tenants to communicate event details and controls.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patrons and handle inquiries and special requests.
• Undertake other duties assigned by the Box Office Manager.
