Job summary

Nestlé Nespresso USA is seeking an Operations Assistant Manager for our Fashion Island Mall boutique in Newport Beach, CA. You will oversee daily store functions, manage inventory, and uphold safety and compliance to enhance both employee and customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in retail or customer service industry.
• Experience in operations or back of house preferred
• Proven ability to lead and influence people; leadership experience preferred
• Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to work
• Analytical problem solver capable of identifying inefficiencies and creating solutions
• Availability to work open and closing shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Able to travel up to 10% for meetings or training

Responsibilities

• Operations and Inventory Management: ensure adherence to Retail Operations Procedures and Best Practices; manage stock and inventory.
• IT Systems Management: troubleshoot IT issues and manage support tickets; ensure equipment operability.
• Store Services: train staff on coffee roaster, engraver, To-Go and tasting bar.
• Omni Services Coordination: fulfill customer orders, same-day delivery, and in-store pickups.
• Operational Efficiencies: identify improvements and apply Total Quality Management with safety.
• Compliance Oversight: conduct audits, ensure health/safety/environmental policies; certifications.
• Team Leadership and Development: coach back-of-house team; act as Manager on Duty.
• General Support: assist leadership on various projects.
